Negativity is like water off a duck’s back to me; I don’t absorb it, I just let it wash right over and keep on moving.
Absorbing negativity only benefits one person; the person distributing it. They cure their bad mood by transferring it to you. If you indulge them and let it in, you might find yourself a welcome companion to their misery (ugh).
Instead, try to ignore it and keep a positive mental attitude. It’s not always going to be easy, but the more you practice, the easier it gets.
